Organizations across the Commonwealth testify in support of restoring basic benefits to immigrant residents

Organizations and individuals across the Commonwealth came together to testify in support of An act establishing basic needs assistance for Massachusetts immigrant residents (H135/S76) when the bill was heard before the Joint Committee on Children, Families, and Persons with Disabilities in October 2023. You can view oral and written testimony at our Testimony Gallery.

This bill will help families get on their feet and will help families in shelter who do not have access to benefits to move out more quickly.

— Dr. Claire-Cecile Pierre, Mass General Brigham
